Throughout their training doctors undertake a wide variety of assessments including examinations which test their knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviours against the requirements set out in the training programme curricula. This exam reports were developed with royal colleges and faculties.
These reports highlight the variation in pass rates for various cohorts of doctors in postgraduate training. The purpose of these reports is to help medical schools and postgraduate bodies to understand the journey of medical students. The reports can highlight specialties or cohorts that might be underperforming and need particular focus in the coming year, as well as those that are outperforming as examples of good practice.
The undergraduate and postgraduate specialty examination reports are available in the national training survey on a separate tab.
